A Senior Lawyer Marked Our AI’s Homework. Verdict: “Perfect, True, Complete and Accurate”

Last week a senior lawyer marked my AI’s homework. His written verdict: “perfect, true, complete, and accurate.”

He runs a busy property practice. Every purchase file ends the same way — a lawyer reads the agreement, the title, the LIM, then drafts the client reporting letter, the calendar of dates, the authority to pay and the AML (anti-money laundering) assessment. Hours of careful, repetitive work on every single matter.

We built him an AI skill that reads the matter file straight out of SharePoint and drafts all four documents.

The part nobody posts about

The first test run was humbling — the AI mostly copied the existing letter on file and added nothing new. That’s the part nobody posts about. We spent two more hours refining the instructions until it scored 100% on his test file without chasing red herrings.

Test run two came back with his assessment above. He also wrote that the letter was “arguably… in form/language better than our partners reporting letter.” His response wasn’t to stop there — he’s already asked for a fifth document to be added and lined up two live files for the next test.

The lawyer still signs everything

The AI just does the reading and the first draft — the two hours nobody will miss.

If there’s a document in your business that gets rebuilt from scratch every week, that’s exactly where this works. See how we wire AI into NZ businesses or get in touch.
