Your top gaps

Two things to do right now

1. Check whether your email has been caught in a breachGo to haveibeenpwned.com and enter your work email address. If it turns up, change that password anywhere you have reused it — and make sure MFA is switched on for that account.
2. Find your Microsoft Secure ScoreIf you are on Microsoft 365, sign in at security.microsoft.com/securityscore — you will need admin rights, or ask whoever looks after your IT. It is Microsoft’s own rating of how well your tenant is set up. Tell us the number and we will tell you what is dragging it down.

What this does & doesn’t tell you

These 13 controls are the ones you can self-check. SMB1001 Gold has 27 — the other 14 are technical settings (email authentication, admin privileges, exposed services & more) that need to be tested, not guessed. That’s what our certified assessment does.

We run full SMB1001 Gold assessments for Northland businesses — real checks against your actual systems, a clear gap report, and a path to certification. Nice and simple.

or email salesnorth@itlive.co.nz — mention your score & we’ll pick it up from there.

This self-check is indicative only and is not an SMB1001 certification or audit. Scores are based on your own answers against 13 of the 27 SMB1001:2026 Level 3 (Gold) controls. IT Live Northland Ltd.
