Managed Networking & Wi-Fi for New Zealand Business

Business Wi-Fi that just works — designed, installed & managed by IT Live, from Northland to nationwide.

Your network is the thing everything else runs on. When the Wi-Fi drops, the phones crackle or a corner of the warehouse has no signal, work stops. We design, build & manage business networks that hold up under real load — and we watch them for you, so problems get fixed before you feel them.

Good Wi-Fi is designed, not plugged in

Most patchy networks come from the same place — a consumer router in the corner, doing a job it was never built for. Business Wi-Fi is different. We plan the coverage, size it for how many people & devices actually use it, and split staff & guest traffic so one never slows the other down.

That design work is what separates a network you never think about from one you fight every week. We build ours on UniFi (Ubiquiti) — cloud-managed access points, switches & gateways — so the whole thing runs as one system rather than a pile of parts.

Signs your network is holding you back

Dead spots & dropouts

Wi-Fi that fades in the far office, the warehouse or upstairs. Staff move to find signal, or give up & use mobile data.

Slow when it’s busy

Everything crawls once the team is all online at once. That’s usually a network that was never sized for the load, not your internet plan.

Guests on your business network

Visitors, phones & smart TVs sharing the same network as your files & payments. It’s slower for you & a real security risk.

What we manage & how it works

Designed & installed properly

We survey the site, plan where the access points go, and size the switching & internet for real use. Staff, guests & devices each get their own space using VLANs (virtual LANs — a way to keep guest traffic separate from your business traffic), so a busy guest network never drags down your work.

Watched & fixed remotely

Because it’s cloud-managed, we see every site from one dashboard & fix most things without a truck roll. We catch dropouts, failing gear & security gaps early — and update the network to keep it fast & safe as you grow.

What you get

Business-grade Wi-Fi

Coverage that reaches every corner — office, warehouse, retail floor & yard — sized for how you actually work.

Separate guest & staff networks

Visitors get clean, easy Wi-Fi that’s walled off from your files, systems & payments.

Traffic kept apart

VLANs & sensible firewall rules keep cameras, EFTPOS & guests in their own lanes — tidier & safer.

Switching & wired backbone

The wired network behind the Wi-Fi, built to carry the load rather than choke on it.

One dashboard across every site

Multi-site businesses run from a single view — same setup, same standard, wherever you are.

Remote monitoring & support

We keep an eye on it & fix issues fast, most of the time before you notice.

How we get you sorted

1. Site review

We look at your spaces, how your team works & where it’s letting you down. No obligation & no jargon.

2. Design & install

We plan the coverage, set up the network properly & switch you over with as little disruption as we can.

3. Manage & improve

We watch it, fix it & keep it current — one number to call when anything’s off.

What it costs

Every network is a bit different — the size of your space, how many people & devices, one site or several. So we quote once we’ve seen it, with clear monthly management & no surprises. Most clients fold it into a single IT arrangement, so it’s one invoice & one number for the lot. Ask us for a quote & we’ll scope it properly.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need business Wi-Fi, or is a good router enough?

A single router is fine for a home or a couple of desks. Once you’ve got a team, guests, cameras or more than one room, you need Wi-Fi that’s planned & managed — otherwise you get the dropouts & dead spots most businesses live with.

Can you fix the dead spots in our warehouse or upstairs?

Yes — that’s exactly what a proper design solves. We plan where the access points go so coverage reaches the far corners, the yard & the awkward spots, instead of fading out halfway.

What is a guest network & do we need one?

A guest network is separate Wi-Fi for visitors, kept away from your business systems & files. You want one — it’s easier for guests, faster for you, and it stops an unknown device sitting next to your important data.

Can you manage networks across several sites?

Yes. Because it’s cloud-managed, we run every site from one dashboard to the same standard — and see & fix issues across all of them without always coming on-site.

Will this improve our phones & video calls?

It should. Voice quality depends on the network underneath it, so a well-designed network is the foundation for reliable calls — see our VoIP phone systems, which run best on a network built for them.

Do we have to switch all our IT to you?

No — we can manage just your network. But most clients like having one provider for the lot, so it ties in neatly with our managed IT support — one invoice & one number for everything.
