What Copilot actually is
Copilot is Microsoft’s AI sitting inside the apps your team already has open – Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint. There is no new system to learn and no new window to live in.
It answers from your own Microsoft 365 content: your files, your email, your meetings. That is what makes it genuinely useful, and it is also exactly why the setup matters.
The bit nobody mentions when they sell you licences
Copilot respects your existing permissions perfectly. That sounds reassuring until you realise what it means – it will faithfully surface every permission mistake anyone has ever made.
Over-shared folders
A folder shared with “Everyone” three years ago becomes searchable the first time somebody asks the right question.
Scattered data
If half your files still live on a server or a local drive, Copilot cannot see them – so the answers come back thin and people give up.
Nobody shown how
The single biggest predictor of whether Copilot sticks is whether anyone sat down with the team and showed them, using their own work.

1. Readiness check
We look at where your data lives and where your permissions are loose. You get a straight list of what to fix – and an honest answer if the answer is “not yet”.
2. Tidy up first
Permissions, sensitivity labels and sharing lockdown, before anything gets switched on. This is the step most rollouts skip.
3. Licence the right people
Not everyone needs Copilot. We will tell you who will get value from it and who will not, and handle the licensing through your existing agreement.
4. Train, then review
A hands-on session with their real work, not a link to a help page. Then we review who is actually using it – and take the licence back off anyone who is not.
What it costs
Copilot licensing is per user per month on top of your existing Microsoft 365. Pricing moves, so we quote you live rather than put a number on a page that goes stale.
